Recipe: High-Protein Kala Chana Salad

Ingredients Required:

  • 1 cup boiled black chana
  • 1 freshly chopped tomato
  • 1 freshly chopped onion
  • ½ bowl of freshly chopped bell peppers
  • 2 Tbsp freshly chopped coriander
  • Handful of roasted makhana
  • ½ cup diced paneer
  • 2 tbsp fresh curd
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder

Dressing Preparation:

  • Start the dressing preparation by putting a handful of roasted makhana in a blending jar.
  • Put freshly diced paneer and 2 tbsp of fresh curd in the same jar.
  • Add seasonings in the same jar, salt and ground black pepper can be added according to the taste.
  • Blend everything till a smooth paste appears. Keep the dressing aside.

Salad Mixing:

  • Take onion, tomato, bell peppers, and coriander and chop them into small pieces.
  • Meanwhile, put the black chana in a pressure cooker along with some water and give it a nice boil.
  • Take a salad bowl and put all the chopped ingredients in a bowl, along with boiled black chana.
  • Pour the dressing over the salad and give it a good mix. Your high-protein black chana salad is ready!
